8 hours to go. The biggest night of Club Football in the World. 2 years in a row. No major trophies in recent times. The closest and the best PL rivalry ever happened this season. Klopp. The best fanbase a club could have. This means more.

I penned a letter a year back when we lost the final to a club I hate intensely. That was the only way I got over the trauma somehow. This year we are back at it again, just as Klopp said. We haven’t won anything this year, if you don’t count hearts, fans and footballing spirit. Irrespective of whatever happens tonight, this is a club full of emotions, moments and encouragement. The fan base is a huge global family that has been together in the best and the worst. The players and the manager are some of the most kind hearted people to grace the football field.

I hope we win, scratch that, I will do anything for us to win today. We deserve it more than anyone right now. But, football is both beautiful and cruel, so if things don’t go as planned, it’s fine. Walk your head high tomorrow. Wear that red jersey again tomorrow. Be humble and kind when others mock at you. This club deserves that following, that loyalty and that sentiment.
